COVID-19 Response at EMCLD
A Message from the East Morgan County Library
To help ‘flatten the curve’ of the outbreak of COVID-19 in our state and to protect vulnerable populations, the East Morgan County Library will be closed until further notice. All meeting groups scheduled will be cancelled and library programs will be suspended. We will continue to offer wifi services, which extends to the library grounds.
In accordance with the statewide stay-at-home order, staff will be working from home and will no longer be available by phone. At this time we will not be registering new patrons or providing copy or fax services, or Interlibrary Loan services.
We have a variety of digital resources you can use anywhere, 24/7. Look here under “Online Tools” for a complete list of those offerings!
This has been a difficult decision for us, as we recognize the Library’s services, collections and meeting rooms are important to our community. Health and wellness are our foremost concern and we believe these efforts will help to minimize the risks to our patrons, volunteers, and staff.
This is a rapidly evolving situation, and we will continue to evaluate our facility and operations throughout the next few weeks.
We look forward to restoring our regular services and activities as soon as possible. We will provide regular communications and updates throughout the closure period to keep you informed! Please use the following for updates: our website, our Facebook page, Instagram, the radio, and our sign out front for updates as they are available.

Local Yearbook Archive
In order to preserve part of our local history, we have begun digitizing our yearbook collection. Since we are still getting the physical books digitized, this is an incomplete collection. Click here to see how far we’ve gotten!
We Want Your Feedback!
East Morgan County Library is constantly trying to improve. We would like to hear about your experience! Please take the time to fill out our anonymous online survey.
Do you take care of children but don’t run a daycare? You may babysit once or twice a week or you could be your family/friends’ primary childcare source. We want to help you! We have recently received a grant to help us provide programs and services to FFN (Family, Friends, and Neighbors) who take care of children. Please take the survey below to help us understand your needs and hopefully make your childcare responsibilities more rewarding.
Ever wonder what’s going on at the library? Check out our quarterly newsletter to learn about our upcoming programs! Also included is an annual report outlining how we use the resources our community gives us and what they get in return.
Look under the “About Us” tab or click here to see the newsletter page.
