COVID-19 Response at EMCLD
Hello from the East Morgan County Library District.
As Governor Polis’ Stay-at-Home order changes to the Safer-at-Home order, we would like to inform you of our next steps as we know them now. We will continue to answer phones and offer curbside service Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m., for the foreseeable future. Story Time and Kids Fun Time Kits will continue to be offered on Wednesday and Friday. Beginning May 4, 2020, after receiving approval from the local health department, we will open on a limited basis.
Starting on May 4, we will allow small numbers of people in the building by appointment only throughout the day Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. till 5:30 p.m. We will allow those with appointments to come in for an hour, then we will close to clean high traffic areas for a time before the next wave of appointments. During appointments, the public may use our computers, browse for books, or seek assistance from the staff.
We will have designated areas set aside for computer use and seating with social distancing measures in place. Staff will practice sanitation techniques, and expect individuals to take appropriate personal precautions. Per health department guidelines, please stay home if experiencing symptoms. While we will disinfect high traffic areas regularly, we cannot guarantee a sterile environment.
Please return all items to our Book Drop, so they can go through our disinfecting process. We are not accepting donations at this time. We will continue any programming online. We will not be taking any room reservations at this time. To make an appointment to visit the library, request curbside delivery, or for any other questions, please call 970-842-4596, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. We look forward to seeing you again and helping with your library needs!

Local Yearbook Archive
In order to preserve part of our local history, we have begun digitizing our yearbook collection. Since we are still getting the physical books digitized, this is an incomplete collection. Click here to see how far we’ve gotten!
We Want Your Feedback!
East Morgan County Library is constantly trying to improve. We would like to hear about your experience! Please take the time to fill out our anonymous online survey.
Do you take care of children but don’t run a daycare? You may babysit once or twice a week or you could be your family/friends’ primary childcare source. We want to help you! We have recently received a grant to help us provide programs and services to FFN (Family, Friends, and Neighbors) who take care of children. Please take the survey below to help us understand your needs and hopefully make your childcare responsibilities more rewarding.
Ever wonder what’s going on at the library? Check out our quarterly newsletter to learn about our upcoming programs! Also included is an annual report outlining how we use the resources our community gives us and what they get in return.
Look under the “About Us” tab or click here to see the newsletter page.
